Here, we share seven festive games that you could have a great time playing at our Colchester obstacle course.

1. Santa’s Obstacle Dash

A festive twist on a classic ninja warrior run, players race each other through the obstacles while wearing Santa hats or festive headbands. Time penalties can be put in place for dropped hats to make this Christmas game more competitive, and it can be completed as individual time trials or in relay teams.

2. Reindeer Relay Challenge

Players are split into teams, and each team must complete a set of obstacles before tagging the next reindeer (teammate). Our balance beams, cargo net, and Warped Wall are great obstacles to include in this Christmas game, and a reindeer antler headband can be used as a baton and passed between team members for additional festive cheer.

3. Christmas Present Grab

Hide wrapped presents or props around the obstacle course and players must collect as many as possible while navigating obstacles within a time limit. Some presents can be placed in harder-to-reach areas for extra points which will mean people must decide between aiming for easy points or attempting our most challenging obstacles.

4. Snowball Dodge Ninja

Use soft foam balls as snowballs and attempt to hit other players as they attempt to cross a section of the course. Getting hit sends you back to the start and you can switch roles after a set time. This game is fun, fast-paced, and perfect for friends and older kids, but choose obstacles carefully to ensure there isn’t a safety risk.

5. Elf Training Academy

Turn your Ultimate Ninja UK session into a role play game where players are elves training to help Santa deliver presents. One player from each team acts as “Head Elf” and sets challenges while the others complete these to earn festive stamps or points for each obstacle completed. This Christmas game idea is perfect for families with younger children (7+) and first-time visitors.

6. Jingle Bell Balance Challenge

Attach small jingle bells to players’ trainers and try to complete balance-based obstacles without making a noise. The quietest run wins! This game means players can concentrate on completing the obstacle with a little extra challenge to consider.

7. Christmas Knockout Ninja

In this friendly elimination game, everyone starts together, and each round the player with the lowest score or slowest time is out. The final two players compete in a festive showdown, and the winner receives a prize.
