Top Ultimate Ninja obstacles for children

Children love visiting us at Ultimate Ninja UK thanks to our huge range of obstacles, just like those seen on TV! From wannabe ninjas and budding athletes to competitive kids and those seeking fun with their friends, we welcome all children 7 years and up to try out our popular course.

Here, we share the top 5 Ultimate Ninja obstacles for children and why kids love tackling them during their visit.

1. Warped Wall

A firm favourite for many children who visit our Ultimate Ninja course, the Warped Wall is an instantly recognisable obstacle requiring speed and determination. To complete the Warped Wall, the wannabe ninja must use their leg strength to power themselves up a wall that gets dramatically steeper as it rises until it becomes vertical at the top. It’s likely to be the competition that makes the Warped Wall such a hit with children, plus the feeling of elation when they reach the top!

2. Ring Toss

The Ring Toss combines coordination with upper body strength as children make their way across rings suspended from ropes. Great balance really helps with this obstacle as it can be easy for feet to slip when reaching for the next hoop. The rings hang at varying heights too, meaning that the child will need to use their strength to pull their body weight up when the ropes get shorter, and hoops get higher.

3. Quintuple Steps

As the name suggests, the Quintuple Steps obstacle features five steps which ninjas must move across the reach the end. However, these aren’t your ordinary steps and are angled, meaning that children must use agility and balance to leap between them without stepping on the mat that runs down the middle.

4. Rolling Log

The ultimate test of balance, the rolling log is a long, cylindrical, vertical beam that spins once a child has wrapped their arms and legs around it – turning them upside down! From here, they’ll need to work their way to the end of the log and successfully get onto the next platform. Confidence and focus are key with this obstacle, but it might take a few tries to get the hang of it and achieve victory!

5. Spider Wall

For the Spider Wall, children must use their hands and feet to pull themselves up between two vertical surfaces and then create pressure against the surfaces that enables them to move along. The obstacle gets its name from the fact that participants look like spiders when shimmying their way through.
